Pull Up a Chair, Raise Your Paddle!
Tonight, we invite you to be part of something practical in form but powerful in impact: reimagining the spaces where our students gather, connect, collaborate, and grow. For our 800 students the Prep campus is their ‘home away from home.” Endless hours are spent together in the Great Room, Commons and Cafeteria, making friendships, sharing ideas and building community. If classrooms are at the heart of our student experience, then these common spaces are the soul. But the current furniture in these spaces is not conducive to carrying out our mission —which depends on an environment that prioritizes community, collaboration and engagement. It’s time to reimagine the community spaces where students gather with the goal of being more functional, flexible, and inclusive. Together, we can turn everyday spaces into extraordinary places—where students don’t just pass through but truly belong.
• New tables and chairs that invite conversation, creativity, and collaboration—flexible designs that adapt to the ways students study, meet, and share ideas
• Soft seating that welcomes everyone, creating comfortable, inclusive spaces where students feel at ease and engaged
• Digital monitors that showcase student life and enhance communication across our community
These changes go beyond furniture—they will shape our school culture. Whether it’s a quiet morning study session, an afternoon group project, a community gathering, or a dinner with teammates, these newly outfitted spaces will further engage and strengthen our Seattle Prep community. Join us in building a Prep community where connection thrives, ideas flourish, and every student deserves to pull up a chair.
